Obtained Ph.D. (1991) in
Operations Research from DalTech, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. He received
his M.Engg. in 1984 and B.Sc.Engg. in 1982.
Currently, Associate Professor
in Operations Research at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), University of New
South Wales (UNSW@ADFA), Canberra, Australia. Before joining UNSW in 1998, Assoc. Prof.
Sarker worked with Gippsland School of Computing and Information Systems,
Monash University, Victoria, Australia and Bangladesh University of Engineering
and Technology, Dhaka. He also worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant with
the Department of Industrial Engineering, DalTech, Dalhousie University,
Halifax, Canada.
