Call for papers - PhD Consortium

ACAL2005 warmly invites doctoral students to apply for ACAL PhD Consortium. The Consortium provides doctoral students with an opportunity to discuss their study with other students and researchers.

The aim of the Consortium is to nurture the research of doctoral students:

• By increasing participants' awareness of other research in Artificial Life and relevant fields;
• By providing an opportunity for participants to share their research with others;
• By providing participants with feedback on their research from other participants and researchers;
• By providing an opportunity for participants to discuss the PhD process; and
• Students who wish to be involved in the PhD Consortium should initially email the consortium organisers at z3147403@itee.adfa.edu.au with an expression of interest before July 31, 2005.

Subsequent to an expression of interest, all students are expected to submit a proposal for the Consortium, which will be a 2-page summary of their PhD topic. All proposals are due by October 31, 2005. All accepted proposals will be distributed to ACAL attendees.

If accepted, students will give a brief presentation of their research during one of the sessions at ACAL2003.
